You can explore the beauty of the landscape and observe the wild animals while riding in safari vehicles, in horse-drawn carriages, or even on camel back!

About Safari Wilderness

Knowledgeable tour guides will lead the way and answer all of your questions about the fascinating wildlife found on the ranch. Hands-on activities, such as lemur and budgie feeding, are offered to visitors; but these activities are scheduled on a limited basis in order to protect the animals. Tours are offered daily, but be sure to make your reservations in advance as visitors are limited for preservation purposes.

The Animals

Hundreds of animals from Africa, Asia and the Americas make Safari Wilderness Ranch their home. They are in large herds.

Safari Wilderness Ranch is not a zoo or theme park. There are no crowds and no lines. Here you will enjoy a natural adventure. Our knowledgeable and experienced driver guides will tour you through 260 acres of animal habitats in customized safari vehicles, fitted with shade canopies. For a more exotic adventure, view our wild game on camel back or by horse-drawn carriage. Indulge your senses in lemur and budgie encounters.

Location

Safari Wilderness Ranch is conveniently located six miles north of I-4 between Orlando and Tampa, surrounded by Florida’s Green Swamp, in an expansive and pristine wilderness area.

We are a family-owned, licensed working game ranch that specializes in wetland exotic species, Watusi cattle, and Haflinger horses.

850 square miles of pristine watershed that is the source of four of Florida’s finest rivers surround our dramatic landscape. Our visitors are strictly limited in number, reflecting the sensitivity of our area.

Safari Wilderness Ranch is a Florida agri-tourism project and is accredited by the Zoological Association of America (ZAA) and licensed by the USDA.
