About Waldo Wright’s Flying Service

Waldo Wright’s Flying Service offers biplane rides seven days a week (closed in September). You can choose from a 15-minute ride in a New Standard D-25 or if you’re in a particularly daring mood, you can actually fly a Boeing Stearman PT-17 for a full 30 minutes – no flying experience necessary! Reservations are required, however.

For a more relaxed aviation experience, hot air balloon rides are another option at Fantasy of Flight. Be sure to make reservations, and plan on at least three hours for this excursion. Flights are available year-round, seven days a week, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas.

$69.95 for a flight in a New Standard D-25 plus tax and a $5 fuel surcharge.

From I-4, take the SR-559 exit – exit #44. Take SR-559N toward Polk City & Fantasy of Flight. At the flashing red light, turn left. Fantasy of Flight will be less than a 1/4 mile down on your left.
