| Filled with hiking, biking and horseback trails, the Van Fleet State Trail begins in Polk City and stretches 29 miles north to Mabel. The main paved trail wanders through dense forests full of 300 to 500-year-old oaks, providing a pleasant environment for walkers, skaters and cyclists. Directions: Parking provided at: Mabel Trailhead off S.R. 50; Bay Lake Trailhead off C.R. 565; Green Pond Trailhead off S.R. 33 & Green Pond Rd.; and Polk City Trailhead off S.R. 33 & C.R. 665.
