Florida bicycle event to bring more than 900 cyclists to Polk County roadways in March 2013.

Bike Florida’s 2013 Orange Blossom Express starts in Lakeland and will weave through orange grove country, skirting lakes to Clermont, Lake Wales and back to Lakeland. We spend two nights in each host city enjoying quality local rides and southern charm. Routes range from 40 to 68 miles with three century options out of each host city, Lakeland, Clermont and Lake Wales. Our longest move day route is 68 miles, our shortest is 48 miles when we ride back to Lakeland from Lake Wales on our final day. The Orange Blossom Express offers you the option to ride 175 miles or more than 475 miles, with many options in between.

Saturday, March 23 – Lakeland – Registration Opens; Three ride routes (western and southern Polk County)
Sunday, March 24 – Lakeland – Three ride routes (western and southern Polk County)
Monday, March 25 – Tour rides from Lakeland to Lake County
Tuesday, March 26 – Local ride routes in Lake County
Wednesday, March 27 – Tour rides from Lake County to Lake Wales
Thursday, March 28 – Lake Wales – Three ride routes (eastern and southern Polk County)
Friday, March 29 – Tour rides from Lake Wales to Lakeland – Tour Concludes

Orange Blossom Express Registration

Registration for the 2013 Bike Florida Spring Tour will open on Saturday, September 15 and registration forms and additional information can be found at www.bikeflorida.org. Bike Florida expects the 2013 Spring Tour to sell out and registration is available on a first come, first served basis.
