As host of RussMatt Baseball Central Florida Collegiate Invitational and Detroit Tigers Spring Training, Polk County offers hundreds of hours of baseball all spring long. Baseball however, is just the tip of the iceberg. Central Florida is host to Florida’s largest event of the year, SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In. As the second largest airshow in the United States, this event attracts over 200,000 visitors from around the globe, and features endless high-flying action.

Summer

Enjoy the spirit of America during the summer months in Central Florida by joining us for our annual 4th of July Celebrations. Throughout the area, there are a number of different spectacles to appeal to the patriot in us all. Thunder on the Ridge is Polk County’s largest fireworks display, featuring food, music, family entertainment.

Fall

Fall is a phenomenal time of the year to vacation in Central Florida. Boktoberfest, Historic Bok Tower Gardens annual plant sale, is the perfect event for anyone who loves plants, delicious foods, craft beers, and breathtaking sceneries. The Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival plays host to one of the largest classic car shows in the state, and is set behind the beautiful backdrop of historic downtown Lakeland.

Winter

The Winter season may be the best time of year to experience all that we have to offer. Escape the winter perils of the north, and visit the mild temperatures of Central Florida.
